Hawaiian Temples
Yesterday Jessi and I drove to Kahului to hit the Walmart (oh fun!) for some necessities. While we were in the neighbourhood we also stopped in at Maui Tropical Soaps to pick up some sweet smelling soaps for ourselves!
We swung up into Wailuku to visit the ancient Hawaiian temple site there. Well it was little more than some rocks in a large square formation set on a hill. Not too impressive but the view was nice! We stopped at Ruby's diner for lunch on the way back. It's one of our favourite places to eat on Maui (they have killer milkshakes like the Peanut Butter Cup one that we shared this time!).
We hit the pool for a while and served up Mango-Peach daquiries (there wasn't enough frozen mango so we had to add peaches). They were VERY VERY tasty (we used Mango flavoured rum as well!).
Today we all went to the ocean to bob in the waves and now Jessi and are going to the covered market to hunt for "Just Maui'd" souveniers and then more relaxing! :) Tommorow Gaby, Richard, Jessi and I will are taking a boat over to Molokai (another island). I'll let you know how that goes!
